Atlantic Lobster (Homarus americanus)

Weighing up to 44 lb, the Atlantic lobster is the heaviest crustacean in the world. The long and short antennae on its face not only grant it a superb sense of smell, but also allow it to pinpoint from which direction a scent is coming. These lobsters live along the east coast of North America and are a staple food source in the U.S. and Canada. Typically orange or red, Atlantic lobsters also come in a number of rarely seen colors like blue, albino, and yellow.
