Hydra (family Hydridae)

Hydras are microscopic cnidarians. Despite their size, they are quite capable predators that use grasping tentacles in tangent with stinging harpoon-like cells to catch and paralyze small invertebrate prey like Daphnia. Species in this class also have impressive regenerative capabilities that allow them to seemingly not age, making them very interesting to scientists.
