This cnidarian might be mistaken as a large jellyfish, but it is actually a colony of many small cnidarians called “zooids” that work together as a group. The dactylozooids form the tentacles and are capable of stinging prey, gastrozooids secrete enzymes that digest prey, and gonozooids allow the organism to reproduce. Some zooids also form an air bubble and sail that keeps the colony afloat and drifting on the ocean surface, as it snares fish in its tentacles that dangle below.
